T5C | LED Tube
A High-Output T5 Retrofit Solution
T5C replaces the fluorescent tube and ballast with a dedicated LED system using a separate isolated SELV driver for safe, reliable operation. The existing luminaire can be retained, with T5C providing a higher-output directional light source for applications where greater intensity is required.
At 1500 mm, T5C delivers up to 9,900 lm at a nominal 60 W, significantly increasing available output compared with conventional HO fluorescent.
- Up to 9,900 lm at 60 W
- Higher output than conventional HO fluorescent
- 180º directional light distribution
- Integrated heatsink
- Isolated SELV LED system
- 10-year warranty
Professional T5 Upgrades Made Simple
Specification is straightforward. Select the T5C length and CCT, confirm the power rating of the original fluorescent tube (HE or HO), choose CRI 85 or CRI 95 and nominate any required controls. We supply the T5C system with the driver configured and ready to install.
T5C has the output range to match HE and HO fluorescent, or can be configured to increase or reduce light levels where required.
- Select by length and original HE or HO wattage
- Choose CCT and CRI
- Match, increase or reduce light levels
- Fixed-output, DALI or Casambi
- Driver supplied pre-set and ready to install
Directional Light for Higher-Output Applications
Unlike the 360º T5G, T5C directs light through 180º, concentrating more of the available output towards the working plane.
This makes T5C particularly well suited to higher-mounted and directional applications such as high bays, car parks and industrial luminaires. In suitable fittings, the improvement can be greater than the lumen comparison alone suggests because less light is directed behind the tube and subsequently reliant on the luminaire reflector.
- 180º directional output
- Greater useful light in directional applications
- Suitable for higher mounting heights
- High bay and car park applications
Colour Rendering, Colour Temperature & Spectrum Control
Choose CRI 85 for maximum efficacy with a solid improvement in colour rendering over conventional T5 fluorescent, or CRI 95 for optimum colour quality while retaining strong energy efficiency. At 4000 K, nominal efficacy is approximately 10% lower with the CRI 95 option.
With flat pricing across CRI 85, CRI 95 and Ambrite™, colour temperatures from 2700 K to 7000 K, and SDCM ≤3 as standard, T5C provides considerable flexibility to match or improve the light quality of the existing installation.
Optional CRI 97, COI compliance, selective spectrum control and circadian lighting extend this capability to colour-critical and specialist applications.

Reduce Energy, Not Performance
Matching the required fluorescent performance does not mean matching its power consumption. T5C can reduce energy consumption by up to 58% before controls while delivering the required light output.
Its directional distribution can further improve the proportion of light delivered into the required area in suitable luminaires. Dimming, occupancy and daylight control can extend energy savings further where required.
- Up to 58% energy savings before controls
- Efficient directional light distribution
- Fixed-output or dimmable configurations
- DALI and Casambi control options
Built for Higher Output
T5C incorporates an integral heatsink to support higher operating power and maintain thermal performance across its length. This allows substantially greater output than conventional HO fluorescent while retaining the familiar linear T5 format.
- Integrated heatsink
- Higher operating power and maximum output
- 10-year warranty
Lumen Maintenance
T5C is designed around maintained performance, not simply initial output, with long-term lumen maintenance and a 10-year warranty supporting extended retrofit service life.- LM-80 / TM-21 (2021) @ Ta 35ºC

Flexible, Safe Retrofit
T5C can use the existing T5 lamp position or be supplied with magnetic and bracket mounting options, providing greater flexibility for different luminaire constructions and retrofit applications.
The separate isolated SELV driver keeps mains voltage out of the LED tube, providing a safe, serviceable architecture that simplifies installation and future maintenance.
- Standard T5 pin mounting
- Optional magnetic mounting
- Optional bracket mounting
- Wire-to-wire connection options
- Isolated SELV driver
- No mains voltage at the LED tube
Flexible T5 Retrofit
T5C can be specified with a standard T5 pin connection or an optional adjustable magnetic mount with wire-to-wire connection, allowing damaged or unsuitable existing lampholders to be bypassed.
A third direct-fix option uses a sliding, rotating bracket secured directly to the luminaire, providing additional flexibility where the original lamp mounting is unsuitable or no longer required.
Magnetic and bracket-mount versions are supplied with 150 mm wire-to-wire connection leads at both ends.
Connection
From chemical and food processing to transport hubs, tunnels, car parks and cold storage, T5C is designed for a broad range of operating environments. Control options include DALI DT8 for tunable and circadian lighting, while the aluminium heatsink supports reliable operation from blast freezers and chillers down to −30ºC through to ambient temperatures of +55ºC.*
For applications where the interior of the luminaire operates continuously above +35ºC, contact our technical team to optimise the power settings and confirm the appropriate service-life and warranty conditions for the application.
*Maximum operating power and warranty provisions may vary with ambient temperature at outputs above HO fluorescent lamps.
Why Replace the Fluorescent Ballast?
An LED upgrade should replace the fluorescent system, not simply the tube. Retaining the existing ballast leaves an ageing fluorescent component in circuit and limits the efficiency, control capability and long-term reliability available from the LED upgrade.
T5C replaces both the fluorescent tube and ballast with a dedicated LED light source and isolated SELV driver, removing dependence on legacy fluorescent components and allowing the complete system to be configured for the required output and controls.
Removes the ageing fluorescent ballast from the system.
Improves overall system efficiency and energy savings.
Eliminates future ballast replacement and maintenance.
Removes dependence on increasingly obsolete fluorescent components.
Enables modern LED drivers and control systems.
Provides a complete LED system with clearly defined performance and warranty.
A Smarter Way to Upgrade Existing Lighting
Fluorescent output varies with lamp type, operating temperature and luminaire design, so replacing every fluorescent tube with a single fixed-output LED alternative does not necessarily reproduce the original lighting performance.
The Isollux T5 system takes a different approach. Output can be configured to match the original HE or HO fluorescent system, then fine-tuned where required to maintain, reduce or increase light levels while retaining the existing luminaires, positions and lighting layout.
This allows a straightforward one-for-one upgrade where existing light levels are appropriate, lower output where additional energy savings are possible, or increased output where the application now requires more light.
Driver selection also allows the upgrade to remain simple fixed-output lighting or incorporate DALI, DALI DT8, Casambi and other compatible control options, extending the energy-saving and operational benefits of the installation.
Rather than treating the LED tube as an isolated replacement component, the result is a complete lighting-system upgrade that preserves the value of the existing luminaires while improving their efficiency, performance, control capability and useful service life.
Driver Selection, Controls & Project Support
-
The dedicated LED driver is fundamental to the performance of the T5G system. Driver selection allows output to be matched to the original HE or HO fluorescent installation while providing the efficiency, service life and control capability expected from a modern LED upgrade.
Drivers can be supplied pre-set to the required output or, where appropriate, specified with adjustable output for fine-tuning during installation and commissioning. This allows light levels to be matched, increased or reduced to suit the application without changing the existing luminaire positions.
For projects requiring simple on-site adjustment, DIP-switch drivers provide defined output settings without specialised programming equipment. Once commissioned, the system can operate as simple fixed-output lighting or be integrated with compatible controls.
Driver type, control capability and warranty can be selected to suit the project, with options available for warranties of up to ten years.

T5G can integrate with existing lighting controls or introduce new control functionality without replacing the original luminaires. Options include conventional switching, 1–10 V, DALI, DALI DT8 and wireless systems including Casambi.
Where more precise output configuration is required, NFC and wireless-programmable drivers allow individual driver settings to be established electronically without mechanical adjustment. This is particularly useful for larger projects where output levels are determined from lighting calculations and applied consistently across multiple luminaires.
DALI DT8 and compatible control systems can also extend T5G beyond fixed-white replacement, supporting tunable white and circadian lighting applications.
