Ultra-Low Profile LED High Bay

Cryolux™ is an ultra-low-profile LED high bay engineered specifically for cold stores, freezers, temperature-controlled warehouses and loading bays, where every millimetre of clearance matters.

Designed as a direct surface-mounted replacement for conventional luminaires, its exceptionally shallow profile maximises operational clearance, reducing the risk of impact from forklifts and material handling equipment while preserving valuable storage height.

New Build – Freezers

New build installations require only a single cable penetration, with the remote LED driver typically mounted above the insulated PIR ceiling. This provides straightforward access for future servicing while maintaining the integrity of the vapour barrier.

LED Upgrades – Freezers & ELA

For freezer and External Loading Area (ELA) upgrades, the existing cable penetration and mains supply can be reused, converting the original wiring to a protected SELV supply for the luminaire via the supplied IP67 connector. This avoids additional penetrations through the insulated ceiling, preserving the original vapour barrier while minimising installation time, risk and disruption.

Ambient Range

Standard operating range −30ºC to +35ºC, with solutions available to support applications below -30ºC, subject to custom specification and operating conditions.

Lighting Controls

Cryolux supports DALI and wireless lighting controls, with control components selected to suit the operating temperature and installation environment.With low-temperature PIR sensor options are available for freezer applications down to −40ºC.

Ingress Protection

IP66 protection against moisture and condensation in cold-store and freezer environments. Sealed and vented construction protects LED components through temperature cycling and changing humidity conditions.

Impact Resistance

Robust CNC plate construction and polycarbonate lenses minimise the risk of damage or contamination from accidental impacts in fast-moving logistics environments.

Vibration Resistance

Potted drivers and robust construction provide vibration resistance for optional machine-mounted applications.

Remote Driver

The remote SELV potted driver can serve one or multiple luminaires and be mounted above the controlled area, with custom mounting options for beams and purlins. Multiple layers of electrical protection include:

Six Standard Lenses

Three flood and three forward-throw asymmetric lenses provide precise beam control with reduced spill and glare. Asymmetric options allow side mounting in loading areas, directing light away from vehicle operators.

Fast, Accurate Installation to PIR Ceilings

With the brackets attached to the luminaire, through-luminaire marking provides fast, accurate positioning before the brackets are removed and riveted to the insulated PIR ceiling.

The luminaire is then secured with four bolts into captive threaded inserts before connecting to the protected SELV supply via the IP67 connector, delivering a clean, simple and repeatable installation.

Beam or Purlin Mounts

For direct mounting to beams or purlins, U-brackets can be supplied to suit the profile, with an optional driver mount.

Simple Site Upgrades

When upgrading existing surface-mount fittings, the driver can be mounted above the PIR ceiling, with the original cable repurposed as a low-voltage supply and connected directly to Cryolux using the supplied barrel clamp or a low-profile junction box.

Exposed Installations

Where installed beneath metal roofs, canopies or other sun-exposed surfaces, protect the rear of the luminaire from direct contact with, or excessive radiated heat from, the heated surface.
